About Esther Hart

Education

Esther Hart studied professional singing at the conservatory of Rotterdam as performing and teaching musician. 

Music

As a singer, Esther developed an international career. In 2003, she represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “One More Night” but also was asked to represent the United Kingdom. For this performance, she received a prestigious award: “The best artistic performance”. 

Via her English record company, she traveled around the world. Her song “Don’t be Afraid” became part of the soundtrack of the American film “Fakin da Funk”. In the U.K. she successfully released several singles in the Dance scene both on Vinyl as on CD. Her song “Ain’t no Lies” reached the 8th position in the dance charts. 

Following her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, she released a solo album with the title “Straight from the Hart”. Besides solo performances, she also tours across the country with her trio “Play me a memory” and with the new band “She’s a Rebel” which is a tribute to the great female singers in the pop music.

Other

Esther Hart is a multi talented artist and also has worked as a voice actor in several children shows on tv, has sung in background choirs of several Disney films and did a lot of studio work (jingles and leaders).

As vocal coach she worked for several tv shows such as “Popstars the Rivals” the “Jr. Songfestival” and “Who becomes Tarzan?”  Also she has been the vocal coach for several famous Dutch singers such as Marco Borsato, Edwin Evers and Nielson.

She was member of the jury of several talent shows on tv such as the National Song Festival and “Just the two of us”.

Her first theatre experience was in the theatre season of 2005/2006 with the production of “Queen in Concert”. This was a production in cooperation with the orchestra of the Dutch Royal Air Force with which she did another 2 theatre tours in 2012 “Stars for Planet Earth” and in 2013/2014 “ 100 years Militairy Aviation”.

Esther Hart also played one of the lead roles in the musical “The Wiz” as the good fairy Glinda.
